Online Classroom Tests

What is Exam Proctoring?

GCC Testing Services administers online and paper/pencil exams for current GCC students at the request of a faculty member. Makeup exam requests and materials for a small group of students or a single student may be submitted by instructors. Instructors of hybrid or online classes may use Testing Services to administer exams for an entire class, small group, or individual students.

Online Testing Hours

GCC Main (only):

Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Testing Services closes at 6 p.m.)

Friday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Testing Services closes at 5 p.m.)

*May - August closed Fridays

General Information

We proctor computerized exams for Online and Hybrid classes. We accept exam information via our Online Instructor Google Form.

It is helpful but not required to know your class name (i.e. SOC101), section number, instructor name, and test name. This allows us to expedite the check in process.

Students must allow enough time to take a test. The length of testing time varies by instructor. Students will be allowed to start testing as long as the exam is started one hour prior to closing. All tests must be completed ten minutes before closing. This means students may forfeit testing time allowed by an instructor if they start the exam before the cut-off times and after the deadline for a specific exam.
