Global Education Services at GCC helps international, multicultural and students who speak languages other than English.

Global Education Services

Global Education Services (GES) oversees three areas of services for students:

Multicultural Affairs

The Multicultural Affairs office serves students and prospective students who come from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. If you were born or educated outside of the United States, have parents who immigrated to the United States, or speak a native language other than English, visit our office for help with the application process, applying for financial aid, or learning your way around college.

International Education Program

Students attend GCC from all over the world, studying in the U.S. on the F-1 visa program. GCC offers these students the I-20 Certificate of Eligibility. We also participate in the Maricopa Colleges Study Abroad programs. Past programs have sent GCC students to Madrid, Prague, Brussels and Mexico. In addition to Maricopa programs, we have information about programs offered by other institutions.

International Education supports GCC faculty who participate in professional growth study programs outside of the United States.

Non-credit English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

On evenings and weekends during the Fall and Spring semesters, and during the day and evening  in Summer, students who wish to improve basic English skills can enroll in ESOL classes. The program is low cost and available to anyone in the community.
