Harry Singh is currently serving as an Interim Director of Achieving a College Education (ACE) and HOOP of Learning (HOL) programs at Glendale Community College. As an Interim Director, he plans, directs, promotes, implements and evaluates ACE and HOL programs.
He was born in Northern India (Punjab) and migrated to the U.S. (New York City) with his family when he was eleven years old. He was so fluent in English that his only response to his teachers on the first day of school was either "yes" or "no."
He's been a part of GCC campus family since 1997 when he enrolled as a student. In addition to being a student, he has worked as an Instructional Associate in the High Tech Center. After earning his Associates degree in 1999, he worked as a Tech Support Specialist with the Technopolis at Arizona State University's West campus while pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Global Business. Harry is the first person in his family to graduate from high school, and earn an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters Degrees.
Upon earning his Bachelors degree in 2001, he returned to his roots at GCC as a Student Services Technician at the Enrollment Center. In 2002, he joined the ACE team as a Student Services Technician, then advanced to Program Advisor.
Harry enjoys various sports activities through the GCC Employee and Wellness program, including basketball, football, and volleyball.
