Diane Di Bernardino Sanborn was born in Chicago, IL and lives and works in Scottsdale, AZ. Her degrees include an MFA in Drawing and Painting from Governors State University IL, a BS Art Ed from Illinois State University and an Associates Degree in Art Transfer Studies, Triton College, IL.
She had the opportunity to study with Professors Emeritus, Harold Gregor and Kenneth Holder during her stay at ISU. She is the founder and director of BRIO Fine Arts, an organization dedicated to fostering creativity and the arts education of hundreds of students in the southwest. She also is a juror and a curator for area art exhibits.
Diane is a contemporary oil painter, creating abstracts on both paper and canvas. Her work has been included in many national exhibits, including NY. She is the recipient of an Ox-Bow residency through the School of the Art Institute, and has been nominated from the AZ Governors Best in Arts Education. In 2012, Diane was recognized as Outstanding Adjunct Professor of Glendale Community College. In 2014, Diane’s work was featured in a solo exhibit, “Abstracted” at Central Arizona College’s Visual Arts Gallery.
Diane was selected as a 2015 featured artist to appear on ArtsyShark.com. She is currently represented in Dallas, TX by LuminArte Gallery and “mod.artists gallery.”
