Delawn Leggett began his career as Head Men's and Women's Track & Field coach at Glendale Community College in 2012. He took the helm after the retirement of NJCAA Hall of Fame and Arizona Hall of Fame coach Ralph Neighbors.
Before coaching at GCC, Delawn Leggett spent 13 years coaching in Phoenix Union High School District's Cesar Chavez High School. There, his boy's 4x1 relay team became the first team in Arizona history to run under 41 seconds. He has coached several state champions and region champions.
Delawn Leggett is USATF Level 1 certified. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Lincoln University in Missouri and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Delawn Leggett is also a Sprint Coach and has been coachig track & field since 2000.
Delawn Leggett also serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching history classes in the district.
