My Biography

Dr. Cleworth teaches for the Fine Arts and Photography Department at Glendale Community College. From 2007-2015, he taught in the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department. He also serves as a faculty associate at Arizona State University. At GCC, he currently teaches Contemporary Humanities (HUM 108), Ideas and Values in the Humanities (HUM 250 & HUM 251) and an introductory course on Holocaust Studies (HUM 245).

In December 2010, Dr. Cleworth received the 2010-2011 GCC Excellence in Teaching Award in recognition of high quality instruction at Glendale Community College. In 2012 he was recognized as Honors Faculty of the Year. He is also a certified course reviewer for Quality Matters, a consortia of eLearning professionals.

Dr. Cleworth holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Arizona State University.
