Amnesty International's efforts in supporting diversity and inclusion efforts within Maricopa will be celebrated at the Diversity Advisory Council Recognition Event along with other awardees from the nine other colleges, the Maricopa Skill Center and the District Office.

Meeting Times

The Amnesty International student chapter at Glendale Community College in Arizona meets on Fridays at 12:30-2:00 p.m. on the main campus.

EVENTS:

Annual events include the celebration of Freedom of Expression: Banned Book Reading

Readings will take place on the lawn just east of the main campus Student Union.
Students, staff, and faculty are invited to participate. Contributors are asked to read for no more than two minutes and provide a brief historical/cultural context relating to the banned, censored, challenged, or suppressed text.
