Social science disciplines teach critical thinking and observation skills, and challenge us to examine the world around us.

Home to 10 disciplines and the GCC Campus Weather Station, the Social Science department offers more than 250 classes each semester. Follow your interest and find your passion, whether in  Macroeconomics, Magic or Meteorology!

Choose from Anthropology & Archeology, American Indian Studies, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Social Work, Sociology and Sustainability and Teacher Education

Many GCC Social Science courses fulfill Social-Behavioral Sciences (SB), Humanities (HU), Global (G) and other requirements. Classes are offered in person and online.
