CPR Classes

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (EMT101) teaches cardiopulmonary resuscitation (mouth-to-mouth, mouth-to-mask, and cardiac compression), stabilization of adult, infant, and child victims with airway obstruction, respiratory, and cardiac arrest.

CPR Certification Renewal for Healthcare Providers
Complete all Basic Life Support CPR course work and the written exam online through the American Heart Association. Once completed, schedule a skills validation test ($15) at GCC. It should take less than one hour to complete. Your CPR Certification Card will be issued immediately upon completion of the skills validation session.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) classes (EMT240) teach the ACLS approach to cardiovascular emergencies, elements of emergency cardiovascular care, ethical and legal issues, airway assessment and ventilation techniques, and oxygen & intravenous therapy. Prerequisites: Current validation in Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider/Professional Rescuer (EMT235 and EMT236) or permission of instructor.
