Computer Information Systems

Solving strategic business problems by designing computer-based information systems can be an exciting and rewarding career. Information technology jobs are some of the fastest growing and highest paying jobs.

In the modern workplace, Information Technology must be effective and reliable. Computer and information systems technicians play a vital role in the implementation and administration of technology within their organizations. They plan, coordinate, and direct research on the computer-related activities.

In consultation with other departments, they help determine the goals of an organization and then implement technology to meet those goals. They may also oversee all technical aspects of an organization, such as software development, network security, and Internet operations.
