The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Accounting is designed for students seeking to gain skills and knowledge in the field of accounting. Possible entry-level positions for this program include accounting clerk, accounts payable/receivable clerk, claims clerk, credit clerk, full-charge bookkeeper, accounting intern, or comparable positions. An Associate in Applied Science (AAS) is also available.

Consultation with an academic advisor is recommended for course selection.

Program Notes:

This program requires one of three 6-9 credit sequences in the principles of accounting. The best ACC course sequence for each student will depend on his/her accounting background. See Semester Notes for addition recommendations. Students should consult with Program Director for further guidance.

(Please note that strong college-level reading skills are important for sucess in ACC coursework.)

Students must earn a grade of "C" or better for all courses required within the program.

ACC105 is not offered at GCC, but may be available in person or online at other MCCCD colleges.

Only students who take ACC211 in Semester I are eligible to take ACC212 without taking ACC112.
